Weren’t podcasts going to change our world? Change the way we do business? Is it me, or did podcasts seem to rise to fandom rather quickly, only to fall out of favor just as quickly? I’ll admit, I never really jumped on the bandwagon of podcasts as I:
- Didn’t see the value in it in terms over overtaking other “things” in my day
- Just never thought it had potential business impact others did
Maybe I’m wrong… maybe this is the trough of disillusionment. I just see far fewer business partners, media outlets, etc pushing this technology/business advancement.
Anyone else notice the drop-off in this area?


I think podcasts are already through the trough and headed up the curve. There were alot of dumb business ideas that got built up around podcasting, but now there are some that work. The format is all about content and time. I drive/fly alot and a I work out alot and podcasts are a perfect way for me to continue to multi-task while doing these sort of things. The trouble with podcasts continues to be discovery - unlike blogs you can’t search to find what you are looking for.
